Raipur, 14 September 2022/

Today, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached village Chhal in Dharamjaigarh assembly constituency of Raigarh district as part of his Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan. On reaching Chhal, the Chief Minister was accorded a grand welcome by the dancers with musical accompaniment. With unparalleled enthusiasm, the villagers of Chhal cheered the arrival of the Chief Minister. During the meeting, the children of Swami Atmanand School thanked the Chief Minister with slogans like “Thank you CM sir” and “Bachcho ki Angrezi Siksha pe Dhayan diya, garib bachcho ko maan diya” on placards. He started the meeting at Chhal by offering prayers at Om Amriteshwar Mahadev temple located at Chhal village (Vrindavan). He also performed ‘Jalabhishek’ and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.

The Chief Minister planted a red sandalwood plant of religious and Ayurvedic importance on the temple premises. He also unveiled the statue of the late Shri Chaneshram Rathia, a prominent tribal leader and former minister of the state in Vrindavan Chhal. In the meeting, Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, MLA Mr. Laljit Singh Rathia, MLA Mr. Chakradhar Singh Sidar, MLA Mr. Ramkumar Yadav, MLA Mr. Prakash Nayak and a large number of public representatives and villagers were present.

Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the third instalment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana would be delivered to the farmers’ account on October 15 before Diwali. He said that our children studying in Swami Atmanand School talk in fluent English. Now Sanskrit will also be taught in schools. Local languages will also be taught to children to stay connected with their roots.

The Chief Minister said, “My three nephews are sitting on the stage, I have done politics with their father, MLA Mr.Laljit Rathia, Minister Mr.Umesh Patel and MLA Mr.Prakash Nayak are my nephews. The officers make plans sitting in Raipur, so I also bring them with me to review the progress in the plans”. A farmer named Mr. Gurudram Rathia told the Chief Minister that he was getting full benefits of government schemes, and his loan of Rs.1 lakh has been waived off. Mrs. Parvati Yadav told the Chief Minister that she had sold cow dung worth Rs.1.5 lakh and the income earned by this helped them in paying the instalment of the tractor loan. A woman of the self-help group, expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, told that till now 100 quintals of cow dung have been sold by SHG, and with the income earned she purchased a mangalsutra. Mr. Pyarelal Rathia, a villager, told the Chief Minister that by collecting tendu leaves, he earned Rs.39 thousand this year and earned Rs.53 thousand last year.

Chief Minister made many announcements for public welfare in Chhal village

*Construction work of a bridge between Kharsia and Chhal across the Maad river will be completed soon.
*Construction of Kharsia to Dharamjaigarh and Chhal to Gharghoda road will be started as soon as possible.
*A new 32 kV power substation will be set up in Sisringa village.
*Kapu sub tehsil will be upgraded as tehsil.
*Asphaltized road will be constructed from Ongana to Bhandari soon.
*Upgradation of Civil Hospital Dharamjaygarh as well as posting of gynaecologist doctor in the hospital.
*100 seater post matric girls hostel will be opened in Dharamjaygarh.

Raigarh will get 260KM of roads worth Rs.467 crores

Addressing the villagers, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that the Raigarh district roads which are in bad condition will be constructed soon. The Chief Minister said that PWD Secretary Mr.Siddharth Komal Pardeshi has taken stock of all the bad roads and he is also monitoring the construction work. Mr.Pardeshi informed that a 70 KM road will be constructed from Raigarh to Dharamjaigarh worth Rs.130 Crore, 90 KM road from Kharsia-Chhal-Hati-Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon worth Rs.190 Crore, 23 KM road from Chhal to Gharghoda worth Rs.48 crores, 26 KM road from Punjipathra-Tamnar-Milupara worth Rs.62 crores, 8 km road from Sarangarh-Barmekela-Sohela worth Rs.8.5 crores, 18 KM road from Barmakela-Saria-Nadigaon worth Rs.7.50 crores, 15 KM road from Gharghoda to Lailunga worth Rs.7 crores and 3 KM road from Surajgarh to Padigaon worth Rs.6 crores.

Chief Minister unveils statue of former minister Shri Chaneshram Rathia in Chhal

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel today unveiled the statue of former minister Late Shri Chaneshram Rathia at Chhak (Vrindavan) in Raigarh district Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan. Shri Rathia represented Dharamjaigarh Assembly Constituency in the Legislative Assembly for almost 25 years from the year 1977 to 2003. He was the senior minister of many important departments including public works, and animal husbandry in undivided Madhya Pradesh as well as in Chhattisgarh. He had a very simple, humble and friendly personality and was a well-known tribal leader. He has made a significant contribution to tribal development, agriculture, education, health etc. in the state.
